According to Wikipedia: The Crow Fair is a significant annual cultural event for the Crow (Apsáalooke) tribe of Montana that began in 1904. It's a large gathering that includes powwows, rodeos, parades, and other festivities celebrating Crow traditions and history. The Crow Fair During the Grand Entry at Crow Fair, dancers in elaborate and authentic traditional regalia, veterans, elders, and other dignitaries parade into the dance arena or arbor to the rhythm of traditional songs played by drum groups.

Accurate, documentary portraits of Native Americans like this by M.C. 'Mike' Poulsen have been featured at the CM Russell Show & Auction, Great Falls, MT, the National Museum of Wildlife Art Western Visions in Jackson, Wyoming, location of this scene, and the Masters of the American West, Autry National Center in Los Angeles.

Poulsen's work has won him three People's Choice Awards at the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale, also held in Cody WY.
Board measures 12 x 9 with a framed size of 19 x 16 inches.
